Sponsorship Opportunities
This year's Walpole Road Race will be held on Labor Day, Monday, September 5th. This is the 38th year for the race, making it one of the oldest in the area and a wonderful Walpole tradition! The Herb Lewis Memorial and John D. Murphy 10K Race (6.2 miles) and "Walpole Ed" 5K Run/Walk (3.1 miles) starts and finishes at Walpole High School and is organized to benefit the Walpole High School Cross Country and Track Teams.
Thanks to your support last year, the Walpole Cross Country and Track Programs have flourished. Between the six teams, their 2010-2011 record was a combined 37-9. The Boys teams, for the first time ever, were Herget League Champions of Cross Country, Indoor Track, and Outdoor Track. Additionally, the Girls teams were Second Place in all three seasons behind Wellesley and showed tremendous improvement from the previous year. With your help, the program – which has about 100-150 athletes each season – has grown not only to be one of the biggest programs at the high school but also one of the most successful!
The Walpole Road Race is no exception to this success. This year, we expect to bring in more runners than we have ever had before! With our second largest total last year of 654 runners, this year we are looking to attract over 700 runners! But, we need your help to achieve our goal. The support of local merchants and organizations is critical to the event's success. We are asking for your support. Contributions in the form of merchandise, gift certificates or cash are greatly appreciated!
We would love to advertise your business! Below, you can review the levels of sponsorship and find the appropriate level of recognition for your business:
Gold Level Supporter:
$500 and above contribution (cash or merchandise) will secure you a larger spot on the t-shirt given to the first 300 registrants.
Silver Level Supporter:
$200-$499 contribution (cash or merchandise) will secure a spot for your name on this year's race tee shirt given to the first 300 registrants.
Bronze Level Supporter:
$50-$199 (cash or merchandise) will secure a spot on the website sponsor page, on the sponsor board at the event, and a spot in our historic raffle (for merchandise).
We are accepting donations NOW in order allow time to print your company name on the signage and tee shirts. Contributions (made payable to the Walpole Road Race) and your name and logo may be mailed to:
